this is pretty funny.
I was fretting on how I failed that stupid formulative assessment thing on my university's website just now. I used the words "just now" for a simple reason. The reason is, I am no longer fretting for that anymore. I'm fretting on another matter. That matter is.....
TOMORROW IS THURSDAY AND I HAVE YET TO GET THE LIST OF HALF PRICE ITEMS AT COLES !!! THE FORUM NOT UPDATING !!!!
Phew that felt better.
I have to tell you something. Ok. It is not as trivial as what I have written above so do not worry that it is going to be ramblings(I do realise that I'm scrimping a little more than usual)(OH MAN. I'm starting to sound more and more like an aunty. I'm ashamed!) Maybe I shall start by stating how life has been. Well, life has been tough. Tough because, university is tough. I feel swamped with work. One assignment after another. It is a little frustrating that I feel like i have endless amount of work. But, that does not mean I have been doing nothing fun! (desperate attempt at making myself look like a social butterfly. Social peanutbutterfly. Social Kayafly)I miss kaya you know.
Last Saturday, we had this pot luck. The Singaporean med students. It was a huge success cause everyone, tried to come! And there was an abundance of food. Surrounding yourself with food, friends, especially on a cold cold night, can warm the soul. What did I make? HEH. I made the one and only DEVILS FOOD CAKE(again)

Look at the megahunk of a beast! WOAH! I tell you, the weather makes hell load of a difference. I could ice the cake, and most importantly, notice the top? the Villi looking structures? yea. Only a cold weather can allow me to do that. I'm so proud of it. Although I did not eat it, I know, its good. Its chocolate through and through, HOW BAD CAN IT BE?!?!?
Fun times. I heard from a second year, that you know, during the 1st year, all the med students would be super united. But by second year, you see groups forming here and there. And you know what, it is already happening. But it's not a bad thing. Depends on how you see it I guess.
Ah I want to talk about something closer to home. literally. I realised, that I'm not missing home as much as I thought I would. But that does not mean I do not miss home. I miss home, terribly. But I'd initially imagined it to be much worse. Much worse. Technology itself has helped bridge this gap I felt.
However, no matter how advanced technology is, I still want to be home. I stil want to be at home to listen to familiar sounds, to be in singapore where I can probably go out to Ion orchard or 313, or maybe just be in my kitchen. Cooking, with the maid clearing up(ok fine she helps to cook).
But you know, I'm only 3 more months away from it. 3 stupid months. I shall suck it up, mug my ass off, sleep lesser, eat lesser, and look forward to it. Prepare the red carpet cause I am coming back baby!and I no longer want to top the cohort. just passing satisfactorily would do. :/
